Concrete-Look Gray Tile Bathroom in Harbor Gateway
About This Project
This bathroom remodel in a Harbor Gateway home replaced dated original fixtures and tile with a clean, contemporary look using large-format concrete-look gray porcelain on walls and floor. The tile runs continuously from the floor plane up the walls, with minimal grout lines and a consistent dark charcoal grout color that keeps the joints from reading as a busy grid. The wall-mounted vanity and toilet were coordinated with the tile layout so no tile cuts fall in awkward places relative to the fixtures. Waterproofing was installed throughout the shower zone using a sheet membrane, with all corner and seam transitions carefully taped before any tile was set. The result is a bathroom that reads as larger than it actually is — a common benefit of large-format tile installed with tight joints.
